The Georgian government has established a special office to deal with problems related to bad weather.

Georgian authorities will solve basic problems in the next 24 hours, Prime Minister Nika Gilauri told reporters after an emergency cabinet meeting in Mtskheta.

"We have established the office, which will coordinate the efforts of government agencies, ministries and departments to solve problems" Gilauri said.

Gilauri said, energy problems in the regions, where 49 thousand subscribers do not receive electricity, will be solved in 24 hours.

"The problem of haltered educational process in 159 schools will be solved at the same time, as the lack of electricity is the result of abolition of classes" Gilauri said.

The Prime Minister pointed out that one and a half day will be required to clear all the roads except the Kobe-Gudauri area, leading to the Russian border.

"Everything is ready to start work, but there is a danger of avalanche, which doesn't allow to work" Gilauri said

Gilauri said, it will took three days to clear the road to the Upper Lars checkpoint on the Georgian-Russian border after the cancelling of avalanche danger.
