Adjara to participate in int’l exhibition in Miami

Adjara will be represented at the "Crusie Shipping Miami" international exhibition, to be held in Miami (USA), the Ajarian government said today.
According to the report, the governmental delegation headed by head of Ajarian Autonomous Republic government Levan Varshalomidze has already gone to the U.S.
Adjara will be represented at the exhibition for the second time. Along with the various port cities of the Black Sea, Ajarian delegation will present Batumi's tourist and cruise potential.
Varshalomidze will meet with representatives of the world's leading cruise companies, ports and tourism agencies. He will discuss the issues of bilateral cooperation to develop cruise tourism.
Varshalomidze will also hold the talks with the management of one of the world's largest cruise companies Royal Caribbean and get acquainted with the details of the development project of Batumi port.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed with this company last summer. According to the memorandum, Royal Caribbean must ensure the development of the Batumi port, which will be able to receive large cruise ships.
