Incident, prevention and response meeting underway in Georgia

The next meeting on Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) is being held on March 23 in Gali, the European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) told Trend.
Representatives from Georgia, Russia and Abkhaz as well as the UN and EUMM are attending the event.
Delegates will discuss the need for joint efforts in the fight against crime and in particular, the possible transfer of wanted criminals.
Included on the agenda is the importance of timely and effective use of a hotline connection to provide information on any additional security measures. The subject of detention will also be covered. This was discussed at previous meetings.
The Georgian delegation is raising the question of limiting the movement of citizens of the Gali district of Abkhazia to the Zugdidi district of Georgia.
