Georgian President and U.S. billionaire attend Tramp Tower project presentation in Batumi

Tramp Tower project was presented in Batumi on Saturday. Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili and U.S. billionaire Donald Trump attended the event during his visit to Georgia.
"This demonstrates Georgia's success where able-bodied people live," Saakashvili said. "They deserve to live better."
He added that the government was able to reverse the situation in the country, by achieving the eradication of corruption, nepotism, police brutality, the economic decline.
"Of course there is poverty in Georgia," the president said. "But the country has been changed. Batumi will soon become the best city on the Black Sea coast. It will be like new Singapore on the Black Sea coast. This is reality, rather than projects."
The Georgian President stressed that the operations will be completed to attract investors to build Tramp Tower by late 2012. Its construction will begin in early 2013.
"Our government is working hard and monitoring the buildings," he said. "We hurry and will demand high rates of construction in the future."
Saakashvili called Trump as the "great man", who is the builder of the "new United States".
"This man fully corresponds to my notions, as he always goes forward," Saakashvili said. "Despite the mockery, he builds, loses and finds something. He always risks because he knows what he needs and it is acceptable to me. The meetings with Trump are great experience for me. Royal Karibian company will build a new port in Batumi soon."
Trump called Georgia as an attractive country for investments.
"Everybody talks about Georgia, its transformation worldwide," Trump added. "President Saakashvili is an unusual man. Everybody talks about him in the world. I want to congratulate him personally with a new perspective and I am sure that we will meet again soon."
Silk Road Group is Trump's partner. Silk Road Group's investment will be made in the Tramp Tower construction. Silk Road Group head Giorgi Ramishvili said that Trump brand, which embodies the Silk Road Group, enters Georgia. He added that Silk Road Group will deal with financing and implementation of the proposed projects.
The author of the Tramp Tower project is John Fotiadis Architect architectural firm. The modern building 47-storey building will have the apartments with an area from 80 to 700 square meters.
Donald Trump arrived in Georgia yesterday. Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Vera Kobalia and head of Silk Road Group Giorgi Ramishvili met him at the airport.
U.S businessman together with Tbilisi Mayor Gigi Ugulava visited sightseeing of the Georgian capital. Yesterday, Donald Trump held a meeting with Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, who awarded him with the order.
