The Georgian Parliament has today denied the impeachment of two ministers. The representatives of the opposition faction Christian Democrats attempted to initiate this.

Christian Democratic Movement wanted the vote of no confidence to be announced to Georgian Minister of IDPs from the occupied areas, the resettlement and refugees Koba Subeliani and Minister of Penitentiary, Probation and Legal AssistanceKhatuna Kalmakhelidze.

The basis for the Christian Democrats' initiative were the facts of violating human rights that have been presented in the annual report of the Georgian Public Defender on "State of human rights and freedoms in Georgia" for 2011.

About 64 MPs voted against the beginning of the procedure of expressing distrust to Koba Subeliani and 68 MPs - Khatuna Kalmakhelidze. About 150 MPs are represented in the Georgian parliament.
