Twelve Turkish citizens were arrested by Georgian border guards for the group violation of the law of Georgia "On Occupied Territories". These are crew of two Turkish vessels, which illegally without the consent of the authorities of Georgia entered the port of separatist Sukhumi, the Georgian border police said.

Attila Durdag, Harun Oskan, Omer Yaliniz, Ispail Yozgat, Omerfaruk Erdogan, Tsevat Ustun and Mehmet Osdevin detained by Georgian border guards violated on January 13 and 25, 2012 on the Turkish-flagged AYSE AKANSU, the rules of entry into the marine waters of Abkhazia of Georgia's territorial waters.

Five more Turkish citizens - Murad Koroglu, Ozgur Celik, Ehmet Biik, Nechmi Bulduk and Acar Kadir also illegally entered on February 22 and March 2 Abkhazia on the ISIK-3ship.

In connection with this fact a preliminary inquiry under Article 322 of the Criminal Code is underway. The detainees face a heavy fine or imprisonment from 2 to 5 years.
