Aftershocks recorded in Georgia

Aftershocks were recorded in Georgia on Monday. As the Seismic Monitoring Centre at Ilia State University reported, an earthquake struck again 25 km from the Georgian-Azerbaijani border. Its magnitude reached 4.5 this time.

According to seismologists, these are aftershocks. They are weaker than the first and probably will be repeated within the day.

The first earthquake with magnitude 5.7 was recorded at 8:40 local time.

According to specified data, the epicentre of the earthquake was located near the Karajala village in the Dedoplistsqaro municipality.
