Some 9,522 people will be conscripted in Georgia from August 1 to December 31. Some 1,450 people will be conscripted to the military units of the Interior Ministry, and 1,300 people - to an external security service of the Department of Corrections.
Some 6,772 people will be conscripted to the armed forces of the Ministry of Defense.
Citizens aged 18 to 27 years who are not eligible for exemption from compulsory military service or its postponement will be conscripted.
"Citizens living in Georgia, who are covered by the conscription should arrive to appropriate local government service by the place of registration," the presidential decree said.
