Captain of vessel CERENCAN flying the flag of Sierra Leone, Russian citizen Alexei Selidey paid a fine worth 65,000 lari ($ 1 = 1.65 lari) to the Georgian authorities, and compensated the damage caused to the environment in the amount of 1,320 lari, Georgian Border Police told Trend on Wednesday.
The vessel received the right of free navigation and left the Poti Port.
The vessel was detained for polluting the sea area in the eight berth of Poti Port on July 29.
