The turnover of enterprises paying VAT amounted to 3.742 billion lari ($ 1 = 1.65 lari) in June, which is 21.4 percent more compared to June 2011, Georgian Statistic Office said on Tuesday.
The turnover amounted to 3.051 billion lari in June 2011.
According to statistical data, 3667 new companies were registered in June 2012, which is 21.7 percent less compared to last year. There were 4484 new companies in May 2012.
According to preliminary information, Georgia's economy increase by 8.1 percent on average in the second quarter. The increase amounted to 6.8 percent in the first quarter.
