Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, together with the Head of Government of Adjara Levan Varshalomidze visited the alpine village of Beshumi (Adjara), where, together with local residents and tourists took part in the traditional "Shuamtoba" holiday, apsny.ge reported.
The President discussed with the audience the development of resort areas. Saakashvili, in a conversation with the inhabitants of the region, said that along with the development of the ski resort, government is building a road connecting Goderdzi pass with Adigeni, and soon the region will have a new line.
"Those who tell us that we must go back in Soviet times, as on we can not live other way, I want to say - we have no way back, we go forward only", - Saakashvili said.
He stressed that no one intends to "give up rebuilt Georgia, as will continue build a new Georgia."
