Forty one parties made application to the Georgian Central Election Commission to participate in the 2012 parliamentary elections , scheduled for Oct.1. As Georgian CEC told Trend, deadline for applications expired at 18.00 on Sunday.
As the CEC Secretary Eka Azarashvili told reporters, 19 political parties out of the 41 parties have been already registered.
"Other applications are being considered and in the case of compliance with the law all of them will be registered soon," Azarashvili said.
