Tbilisi City Court fined the billionaire, leader of the Georgian Dream opposition coalition Bidzina Ivanishvili 20.243.827 million lari ($ 1 = 1.65 lari). The court considered the act submitted by the State Audit Service and found Ivanishvili offender.
The court ordered the billionaire to pay the fine within seven days. The court's decision may be appealed to the appellate court within 48 hours.
The Audit Service considered illegal cashing from their own accounts by Bidzina Ivanishvili and Kakha Kaladze, of respectively 5.552.135 million and 3.388.992 million lari, as elective subjects did not specify what the money was spent on. They were asked to return the money to their accounts, but Ivanishvili and Kaladze refused to do so.
Tbilisi City Court yesterday fined parliamentary candidate Kakha Kaladze from the coalition 16,944,960 lari.
