Georgian Public Broadcasting (GPB) welcomes the agreement of the leaders of the electoral lists of political forces and their candidate for prime minister to take part in the debates.
Based on the requirements of the Electoral Code and the law on broadcasting, as well as to allow the public to make an informed choice mandatory debates will begin in September, the broadcaster said.
The broadcaster noted that the participation of qualified subjects in the debates will be mandatory.
USAID and the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) will participate in the organization of the debates.
The parliamentary elections in Georgia will be held on October 1.
