Russian military exercises Caucasus 2012 should not be "an additional reason for concern" for Georgia, Sweden's Foreign Minister Carl Bildt said in Tbilisi on Wednesday at a joint news conference with the foreign ministers of Georgia and Poland.

"Russia, like other countries, conducts its exercises on schedule. Caucasus 2012 is planned exercise and doesn't threaten Georgia with complications," he said.

In turn, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski stressed that all the countries of the region should contribute to the stability.

The first Georgian officials have repeatedly said that Russia is preparing provocations during the parliamentary elections in Georgia, and that Caucasus 2012 exercises which will be held on the border with Georgia, will be used for that.
