The Georgian Oil and Gas Corporation has discussed the evaluation report on the impact of the main East-West gas pipeline on the environment within the expansion of the electricity and gas infrastructure.
According to the corporation, the environmental impact of the Gori Kareli section of the rehabilitation project of the main gas pipeline was discussed in Gori, while the Zestafoni- Kutaisi section is in Bagdati, Zestafoni and Terzhola.
A 51 kilometre section of Gori-Kareli and 23 kilometre section of the East-West gas pipeline are planned to be rehabilitated within the electricity and gas infrastructure development programme which is funded by U.S. Agency for International Development.
