The first meeting of preparatory Georgia- EU Committee was held in framework of united air space agreement. The meeting is aimed to monitor fulfilment of responsibilities undertaken by the parties on the agreement, signed on December 2 2010 between Georgia and EU " On the united air space between Georgia, EU and EU member-countries."

According to declaration of Civil Aviation Agency Director Irakly Davitadze, the Committee happens to be the official body, considering the achieved results. In his words, Georgian aviation is going to be even more integrated to the european structures.

The outcomes of projects implemented in Georgia in framework of assistance to National Aviation Development Program were also discussed at the meeting. The parties are going to develop rules and procedures of joint committee work.

In turn, European party presented a report, which noted the support events planned by Georgian party for future.
