Oil and petroleum products remain the largest commodity group among Georgian imports in January-September 2012, amounting to $703 million, or 12 per cent of total imports, the Georgian Statistics Service told Trend on Wednesday.

According to information, import of cars ranks second with $492 million, or 9 per cent of the total imports. Wheat import is third with $184 million, or 3 per cent of the imports.

In total, Georgia's foreign trade turnover hit $ 7,595 million in January-September 2012.
