Georgia, Tbilisi, Nov. 5 / Trend N.Kirtskhalia /

Builders of a bypass road in Kobuleti (sea resort in Adjara) held a protest march again. According to them, an agreement reached with the employers a few days ago was violated.

The Sino-Hydro Chinese Company, which is constructing the road, has written into new contracts that it will not provide workers with transport.

The company dismissed more than 200 workers which, according to chairman of Adjaran Trade Union Organisation Ilia Verdzadze, is a violation of the contract. New workers are currently being recruited.

On Monday chairman of the Supreme Council of Adjara committee on agricultural and self-governance issues Anzor Tkhilaishvili met with the dismissed workers. He also met with representatives of the Chinese company and received certain assurances.

Highway builders are also demanding a salary increase.
