Prior to departing for Brussels as part of a Georgian delegation, Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze told reporters that meetings are planned in the Belgian capital on several topics.

She said at the meetings with representatives of the European Union and European Commission, an agreement between Georgia and the EU on the association, visa regime and free trade will be discussed.

"All these agreements should be ready by late May next year, after having been formalised at the EU's November summit in Vilnius," Panjikidze said.

Negotiations on an association agreement between the EU and Georgia were launched in July 2010. After this comes into force this agreement will replace the existing one on partnership and cooperation.
