U.S. Assistant Secretary of State to hold official meetings in Tbilisi

U.S. Assistant Secretary Philip Gordon, who arrived last night in Tbilisi, will hold first official meetings in the city on Friday.
Gordon will meet with Parliament's Speaker David Usupashvili at the "Tbilisi Marriott" Hotel at 14:00 local time, and with leader of the parliamentary minority, David Bakradze at 14:45 local time.
He will meet with Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili at 17:00 local time.
On Saturday he is expected to meet with Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze.
The meetings will discuss issues of preparation for Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili's visit to the U.S.. The visit is scheduled for late November.
It is unknown whether Gordon will meet with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili.
