A delegation of the European Parliament, which arrived in Tbilisi on Friday will become acquainted with the situation in Georgia following parliamentary elections held on Oct.1.
The delegation includes chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee of the European Parliament Elmar Brok and rapporteur on Georgia, Krzysztof Lisek.
As Brok told journalists, in addition to the situation with the developments after the elections, the object of their interest is the European Neighbourhood Policy and its development in the country. To this end he said, meeting with representatives of the Georgian authorities is planned.
According to Lisek, he is scheduled to meet with the president, prime minister, foreign minister and state minister for European integration in Georgia.
