Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili has attended the Russian breakfast which took place on Friday in Davos at the annual World Economic Forum as a special guest.

As Georgian television reported on Friday, Ivanishvili was introduced to Russian businessmen by Sberbank CEO German Gref.

The Sberbank initiated the Russian breakfast and it was held in private.

Speaking to reporters after meeting, the owner of the Russian company Wimm-Bill-Dann, Davit Yakobashvili said that Ivanishvili delivered a speech in front of the businessmen.

"He talked about the changes in Georgia and assured us that the country is interested in Russian investment and open for cooperation," he said.

Yakobashvili expressed satisfaction with the new position of Georgia in settling relations with Russia, noting that this policy will soon bear fruit.

"This will certainly affect the growth of economic relations between the two countries," he said.

According to preliminary information, the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev did not take part in the meeting.

Today Ivanishvili will complete his visit to Davos following the meeting with the President of Switzerland.
