Georgian-Russian vehicular traffic routes have been closed again because of the danger of avalanches, the Georgian Road Department told Trend on Monday.
The department stressed that movement of all types of cars on the Kobi-Gudauri site of the Georgian Military Road in the direction of the checkpoint at the Georgian-Russian border of Upper Lars has been prohibited.
"At present movement on this section has been prohibited due to bad weather and poor visibility, as well as the danger of avalanches," the department said.
Meanwhile, special machinery will be used immediately once the threat of avalanches is removed.
