The consultations on the constitutional amendments between the chairman of the Georgian parliament and the minority lasted until night time. After the meeting, held at the House of Justice, only majority leader David Saganelidze made any comment.
He does not rule out that both sides will have to make certain compromises to achieve a consensus on constitutional amendments.
"This is a very complicated process," he said. "I cannot discuss this further at the moment because there are topics where public discussion may harm the negotiation process."
Minority member Nugzar Tsiklauri does not exclude that if the process goes well, the majority will receive the necessary support while making certain legislative initiatives.
"All in Georgia must see that the decisions are made through negotiations and finding opportunities for consultations, rather than by arm-twisting and intimidation," he said.
