The newly appointed Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran Abbas Talebifar today handed his credentials to the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia David Zalkaliani.
As Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia told Trend, after the official ceremony David Zalkaliani welcomed the appointment of the new Iranian Ambassador and wished him success in his future endeavors.
The sides also discussed bilateral relations between the two countries. The Ambassador reiterated his country's goodwill towards Georgia and thanked the Georgian side for the warm welcome.
