The United National Movement starts to rouse after the knockdown as a result of the April 1 elections to the Georgian parliament, President of Georgia and Chairman of United National Movement Mikheil Saakashvili, who is on a visit to the United States, made this statement.

As Mikheil Saakashvili's statement on his official Facebook page says, United National Movement was knocked down after the defeat in the parliamentary elections, "but it was not a knockout and the party slowly rises to its feet".

Saakashvili said that with its actions involving many thousands of people United National Movement has shown that it is alive and it the most real opposition. "It is indicated by the results of the midterm elections, where the party was represented with dignity," he said.

Georgian President stated that there are a lot of challenges before the party and it is necessary adequately respond to them and in this case, the party will be able to win again.

Saakashvili is attending the Sedona Forum organized by Congressman John McCain, where he made a speech.
