The issues of legislative regulation of covert surveillance and recording, obtaining information from communication channels and computer systems, secret video and audio recordings, film and photography used in search operations, as well as the problems of observing the rule of law in this area will be discussed at the joint meeting of two parliamentary committees in Tbilisi on May 20.

The issues of legislative regulation of covert surveillance and recording, obtaining information from communication channels and computer systems, secret video and audio recordings, film and photography used in search operations, as well as the problems of observing the rule of law in this area will be discussed at the joint meeting of two parliamentary committees in Tbilisi on May 20.

The Georgian Parliament said today that parliamentary chairman David Usupashvili, Minister of Justice Tea Tsulukiani, Interior Minister Irakli Garibashvili, Attorney General Archil Kbilashvili, state representatives, representatives from international and local non-governmental organisations and experts were invited for a joint session of the parliamentary committees on Legal Affairs, Human Rights and Civil Integration.

The U.S Agency for International Development (USAID) supports the event with financial support.
