World Bank Group and Georgia’s Ministry of Justice contribute to development of e-government in region

The Investment Climate Advisory Services of the World Bank Group and the Ministry of Justice of Georgia promote the use of information and communication technologies the countries by the countries of the region to create fair and competitive business environment and establish transparent relationship between the government and business.
From June 4-6, Tbilisi is hosting a working meeting of the World Bank Group and the Ministry of Justice, attended by 100 participants from over 20 countries in Europe, Central and South Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.
The meeting will discuss the ways the governments use the mechanisms of "online" information and services. The purpose of the meeting is to decrease spending on business production, improve transparency and accessibility of public services, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises.
The meeting is about how these innovations promote greater efficiency, better accountability and maintenance and the expansion of the scale of government services. It will also discuss ways to apply leading technology with consideration of the countries' peculiarities.
The meeting will also be attended by representatives of leading technology companies and experts of the World Bank Group. Participants will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of innovative "online" services of the recognized leader in e-governance - the government of Georgia.
The meeting is held with the support of the Ministry of Finance of Austria.
