Excise tax on tobacco will increase in Georgia from September 1, Georgia's Finance Minister Nodar Khaduri said after the meeting of parliament on Thursday.
According to him, the excise duty on non-filter cigarettes will rise by five tetri (three cents), and for filter cigarettes - by 15 tetri (nine cents).
Speaking about the possible increase in the price of cigarettes, Khaduri said that the price increase in retail depends on the market.
