The leader of the parliamentary majority, David Saganelidze has elected as vice-president of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC).

41th session of the BSEC was officially opened on Wednesday in Sofia. Together with Saganelidze were elected another four vice-presidents.

It should be noted that the next six months, the union will be led by Georgia and the regular session of the BSEC in December will be in Georgia.

Georgian delegation also includes representatives of the parliamentary minority.

David Saganelidze made speech at the session on the country's economic situation and prospects of the development of tourism.

"Georgia must first of all show the BSEC countries, that it really is on the way of democracy. Confirmation of this should be the upcoming presidential elections that to be held in October," - Saganelidze said.

According to MP Zurab Melikishvili, it is very important that Georgia in the next six months is becoming a country-chairman of the organization.

"I am sure that we are worthy of a parliamentary session of the BSEC in Georgia in December of this year," - he said.

BSEC meeting was opened by President of Bulgaria Rosen Plevneliev.
