Georgian Armed Forces' Egrisi 2013 exercises with participation of the 22nd Battalion of the Second Infantry Brigade and the Second Artillery Brigade have been completed.
Demonstrative field exercises were held at Orfolo training ground.
The objective of the exercises was to train units at the platoon level, the Georgian Defence Ministry reported on Thursday.
During the demonstrative exercises Georgian infantrymen used artillery and tank support, and completed the task of deterrence of an imaginary enemy.
The companies of the 22nd Battalion sequentially got involved in the fulfilment of the task of deterrence of the imaginary enemy in line with the scenario, and destroyed the targets from their positions using various weapons.
Rocket artillery units of the Second Artillery Brigade and a battalion of the Dana platoon also participated in the exercises.
A tank division took part at the final stage of exercises.
