The upcoming presidential election will actually be a vote of confidence in the government, Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili said.
"This will be the evaluation of our work over the year and we hope our candidate Giorgi Margvelashvili will have already won the first round," he said at a meeting with editors of newspapers and radio stations on Thursday.
Ivanishvili said his government has done more than could have been expected.
"But in the future we will also have a lot to do," he said.
Preparations for the presidential election were called the main achievement by the Prime Minister.
"We have provided a free and competitive election that meets all European standards and it is our greatest achievement," he said.
Ivanishvili called on people to vote for the candidate of the Georgian Dream coalition, Giorgi Margvelashvili .
The presidential election in Georgia will be held on October 27.
