Georgia ranked eighth in the global ranking of 'Doing Business - 2014'.
The World Bank (WB) Georgian office reported today that Georgia increased its standing by one position in the ranking compared to last year.
Georgia is ahead of such countries as Singapore, Hong Kong, New Zealand, the U.S., Denmark, Malaysia and South Korea.
Georgia still holds the leading position on simple property registration and the second on obtaining building permits.
According to the WB Georgian office, the country ranked third in 'getting credit', 16th in 'investor protection', 29th in 'tax payment', 43rd - 'international trade' and 33rd - 'execution of contracts'.
The rating is compiled by the World Bank and International Finance Corporation each year.
