Tbilisi, Georgia, Nov. 5

By Nana Kirtzkhalia - Trend: Georgian Prime Minister's Special Representative for Relations with Russia Zurab Abashidze will visit Prague to participate in the fifth round of the Georgian-Russian negotiations.

The negotiations will be held from November 19-23.

Abashidze will meet with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin.

Georgian Prime Minister's office told Trend today that Bidzina Ivanishvili has already issued a relevant decree.

The following issues, namely, trade relations, transport relations, humanitarian-cultural and scientific relations and other possible areas of cooperation will be discussed at the meeting.
Large scale military action was launched in South Ossetia on August 8, 2008. Later, Russian troops occupied Tskhinvali and expelled the Georgian military.

Russia recognised the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia in late August. In response, Tbilisi ended diplomatic relations with Moscow and has called the two unrecognised republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia occupied territories.
