The Georgian parliament has declared a vote of confidence on the new government presented by candidate for Georgia’s Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili on Nov.20.

The Georgian parliament has declared a vote of confidence on the new government presented by candidate for Georgia's Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili on Nov.20.

Some 99 MP voted 'for' and 13 'against' the vote of confidence.

The new government consists of around 20 members:

Defence Minister - Irakli Alasania;

Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, Deputy Prime Minister - Kakha Kaladze;

Interior Minister - Alexander Chikaidze;

Minister of Justice - Thea Tsulukiani

Foreign Minister - Maia Panjikidze;

Minister of Labour, Health and Social Affairs - David Sergeenko;

Finance Minister - Nodar Khaduri;

Minister of Education and Science - Tamar Sanikidze;

Minister of Agriculture - Shalva Pipia;

Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development - Giorgi kvirikashvili;

Minister of Corrections - Sozar Subari (Georgian Dream - Democratic Georgia);

Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories of Georgia,

Resettlement and Refugees - David Darakhvelidze;

Minister of Environmental Protection - khatuna Gogaladze;

Minister of Culture and Monument Protection - Guram Odisharia;

Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs - Levan Kipiani;

State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic integration - Alexi Petriashvili;

State Minister for Reintegration - Paata Zakareishvili;

State Minister for Diaspora Issues - Kote Surguladze;

Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure - David Narmania;

Otar Pkhaladze has been offered the post of chief prosecutor.

Parliament's decision took effect immediately. However the government and prime minister must be approved by the President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili.
