Employees of the Investigative Service of Georgia's Finance Ministry have arrested the former head of the administration of Old Tbilisi Lasha Purtsvanidze and his former deputy Koba Kharshiladze. They are accused of illegal business activities and money laundering.
The investigation revealed that Purtskhvanidze and Kharshiladze established GreenServis LLC with the help of their friends on May 2, 2007. The LLC had participated in and won tenders announced by the Old Tbilisi administration for public procurement of namely those plants that were already pre-purchased by this company.
