Georgian Prime Minister, Irakli Garibashvili has met with representatives of the 'APM Terminals' company.

The meeting was attended by Georgian Economy and Sustainable Development Minister, George Kvirikashvili.

The sides discussed the Poti port's development prospects and the country's transit potential as a whole, Georgian PM's press service told Trend on Jan. 15.

'APM Terminals' Chief Executive Officer, Kim Fejfer said his company is interested not only in the development of Poti's infrastructure, but also has more long-term plans.

He stressed that the data for 11 months of 2013 show a 16 percent increase in container traffic. He said that the transit transportations also grew.

'APM Terminals' is the largest container terminal operator. The company owns a 80 percent stake in the port of Poti.
