Telasi company engaged in distribution and sale of electricity in Tbilisi has announced the production indicators of its activity for 2013.

The volume of electricity consumption by Telasi company amounted to 2.063 million kilowatt/hours electricity in 2013, which is by two percent more than in 2012 (2.023 kilowatt/hours), the company told Trend on Jan.31.

The increase in the volume of electricity consumption was caused by the country's economic growth and the increase in the number of consumers.

Thanks to the work carried out on reconstruction and modernization, the length of power transmission lines of Telasi company increased in 2013, the company said.

The total length of the company's power transmission lines increased by seven percent or by 284 kilometres in 2013 compared to 2012 and amounted to 4,371 kilometers

The number of Telasi subscribers increased by 3.7 percent (18,684 subscribers) in 2013 compared to 2012 and amounted to 524,559 subscribers, some 477,461 of which are individuals, while around 47,098 are legal entities.

Telasi company spent around 17.4 million lari on the implementation of the project for expanding the subscriber base in 2013. Works on construction of power transmission lines, installation of transformers, power meters and so on were carried out.

Telasi JSC is one of the largest network companies of Georgia, which implements the distribution and sale of electricity in Tbilisi. The company is a supplier of electricity for over 500,000 subscribers. Telasi entered the INTER RAO UES Group in August 2013.
