Georgia expresses its full support for the goals of the Nuclear Security Summit currently taking place at The Hague, Georgian Prime Irakli Garibashvili said during a speech at the summit.

"We are facing complex and multifaceted challenges and how legitimate and effective will our response be depends on our cooperation," he said.

Garibashvili told the participants about the reforms being implemented in Georgia in order to ensure nuclear safety.

In particular the PM noted that Georgia has extended the legal framework on nuclear safety and deepened international cooperation in this field.

Garibashvili also provided delegates with information that Georgia works closely with the UN, the IAEA, NATO and OSCE, as well as with the U.S., UK and Sweden governments for strengthening the security infrastructure.
