Georgian National Tourism Administration is taking part in the international tourism fair AITF 2014, held in Baku, Azerbaijan.

The national administration told Trend on April 4 that the participation in this fair is very important for increasing the awareness about Georgia and its tourism potential, and for establishing new business ties.

Azerbaijan is one of the target tourism markets for Georgia. The number of tourists from Azerbaijan increased during a period between 2012 and 2013 by 15 percent, according to the stats.

On the day of opening of the fair, Georgia's stand was viewed by Azerbaijani culture and tourism minister and Montenegrin tourism minister. They showed great interest in the tourism potential of Georgia.

Georgia's stand, aside from the National Tourism Administration, also presented the private sector, represented by Georgian Trip, Trawellin, Face Travel, Marco Polo, Lomsia, Lopota, Gino Paradise, as well as the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Adjara and the Kutaisi City Hall.
