The publication of the results of public opinion polls regarding elections in local self-government bodies to be held in Georgia on June 15 is prohibited from 08:00 local time on June 13, until the closure of the electoral precinct at 20:00 on June 15, according to the Georgian Central Election Commission.

The publication of the results of public opinion polls regarding elections in local self-government bodies to be held in Georgia on June 15 is prohibited from 08:00 local time on June 13, until the closure of the electoral precinct at 20:00 on June 15, according to the Georgian Central Election Commission.

"The publication of the results of opinion polls on elections, except polls regarding the possible participation in elections (voter turnout) and the number of participants in the elections is prohibited," the CEC said.

The prohibition is considered within the Electoral Code of Georgia.
Some 2,088 members of 71 sakrebulo (city and district councils), the mayors of 12 cities and 62 heads of local administrations should be elected in the Georgian municipal elections held in the mixed proportional-majoritarian system.Some 24 subjects with universal suffrage requested to participate in the elections.
