Georgian President Georgi Margvelashvili received Ukrainian delegation headed by the Ukraine`s new Minister of Justice Pavlo Petrenko.

The main purpose of the visit of the Ukrainian delegation is the familiarization with the reforms in Georgia and exchange of experience.

As the Georgian presidential administration told Trend, the sides discussed bilateral Georgian-Ukrainian relations and the prospects for deepening cooperation. The parties congratulated each other with the signing of the Association Agreement with the European Union. The members of the Ukrainian delegation expressed the hope that Ukraine along with Georgia will take a worthy place in the big European family.

"We have met with our Ukrainian colleagues at the presidential inauguration in Kiev and decided to cooperate actively. Of course, this cooperation is based on friendship and good mood, movement toward a single goal," the Georgian president said.

"It is gaining new impetus under the governance of the new government," Margvelashvili said.

It is the first visit of the Ukrainian new government`s delegation to Georgia. It consists of the Minister of Infrastructure Maxim Burbak and senior officials of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine.
