The Georgian parliament will presumably approve an Association agreement with the European Union on July 18 at an extraordinary session. The Chairman of Parliament David Usupashvili intends to appeal to the Georgian president regarding convening an extraordinary session in the near future.

As the parliament speaker told journalists, the ratified document will be submitted to Parliament by the government today or tomorrow. He did not rule out that high-ranking guests will come to Georgia on the day of ratification of the agreement.

Meanwhile, Usupashvili met with chairman of the upper house of the Polish parliament Bogdan Borusewicz, who is on a visit to Tbilisi.

A problem with the ratification of the Association Agreement between Georgia and the European Union is not expected in Polish Parliament. The Foreign Ministry will give text of the document to the Polish parliament for ratification in the near future, according to Borusewicz.
