Georgia became a member of the UNESCO-UNEVOC International Centre for Technical and Vocational Education and Training, Georgian Education Ministry told Trend on Aug. 13.
UNESCO education sector promotes education, science and cultural values through technical assistance, implementation of international standards, innovative projects, and uniting member countries within a single electronic system.
The goal of the UNESCO education sector is to promote education, improve its quality and to assist innovative approaches and dialogue.
UNEVOC will help Georgia in the development of documents on vocational education policy, in the development of high quality educational programs meeting the requirements of the labor market, and in the training of professional human resources.
