Vatican Foreign Minister, Archbishop Dominique Mamberti is to visit Tbilisi September 14-15.
The archbishop will meet with representatives of the executive power, and he will visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Sept. 15, the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia David Zalkaliani stated at a press conference Sept.8.
His meeting with Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II is also planned.
"This visit is very important for the further intensification of relations between Georgia and the Vatican. It should be noted that this is the first official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Vatican to Tbilisi," David Zalkaliani said.
