Chairman of the World Economic Forum, Professor Klaus Schwab invited Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili for the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Georgian president's adviser on economic issues Giorgi Abashishvili told reporters following a meeting between Margvelashvili and Schwab.
"President Margvelashvili and Schwab spoke about Georgia's investment opportunities, all mechanisms that can attract more investments into the country," Abashishvili said. "In this regard, the importance of the Davos economic forum, its regional meetings was stressed. Mr. Schwab invited President Margvelashvili to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos. This is very important because Georgia's advantages and investment opportunities can be presented at the highest level during the forum."
