Defence ministries of Georgia, UK sign co-op plan for 2015-2016

The Ministries of Defence of Georgia and the United Kingdom signed a cooperation plan for 2015-2016.
The document was signed within the framework of the working visit of representatives of the UK defense ministry to Tbilisi, the Georgian Defense Ministry told Trend Oct.3.
The Ministry said that during the two-day visit the members of the British delegation held meetings with the Deputy Minister of Defence of Georgia Tamar Karosanidze and Mikhail Darchiashvili.
During the meetings at the Ministry of Defence the guests were informed about the reforms in the defense sector of Georgia. The parties also discussed the prospects of cooperation between Georgia and the United Kingdom in the area of defense.
During the working visit the representatives of the Ministry of Defence of the United Kingdom also met with the First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces, Brigadier General Vladimir Chachibaya. The sides discussed issues of regional security and cooperation in the field of military education at the meeting.
