The Minister of Agriculture of Georgia Otar Danelia met with representatives of the working group of the EU delegation.
The delegation members are working on EU-funded current and future projects, the office said Oct.28.
"It is very important for us that the EU is actively interested in the development of agriculture in Georgia," said Danelia. "I hope that the support will be further enhanced in the future."
The parties discussed the progress of the projects implemented by the EU in Georgia in order to support the development of agriculture. Particular attention was paid to projects within the frameworks of the EU neighborhood program.
"In 2015, EU assistance will focus on projects to support rural development," said a member of the working group Ingrid Schwaiger. "It is important that the EU will assist Georgia in implementing the commitments made under the agreement on a deep and comprehensive free trade."
