US praises Georgian government 2 year report

Principal Deputy Assistant US Secretary of State Kurt Tong praised the 2 year report of the Georgian government, saying that it was focused on positive steps and specific goals.
He made the remarks at the meeting with the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili, the press service of the Government of Georgia told Trend.
Kurt Tong also expressed appreciation for his participation in the International Investment Forum, which was held in Tbilisi Oct.29. He expressed hope that the forum will help to attract new investment to Georgia.
The Prime Minister and the US State Department spokesman discussed the main aspects of the Georgian-US strategic partnership and cooperation prospects.
Irakli Garibashvili informed the guest about the ongoing reforms in Georgia and the investment potential of the country. They also talked about the commitments that Georgia assumed on an association agreement with the EU, including a free trade zone.
Irakli Garibashvili said with satisfaction that there will be a meeting of the working group on economy, trade and energy within the Georgian-US Strategic Partnership Charter October 30 with the participation of Kurt Tong, where the issues of economic cooperation will be discussed in detail and future projects will be identified.
He said that the Ministry of Economy of Georgia plans to hold high-level conference with financial and technical support of the USAID and the US Embassy December 12 2014
